Introduction :

The most valuable assets of any organization are its human resources. Even in case of MAPMC, it is no different. The establishment department handles all the matters related to manpower management. A brief overview of the department indicates that the important function of this department is maintaining personal details and service records of employees, maintain attendance details etc. One Deputy Secretary and one Assistant Secretary head the functioning of this department.

Process :

The establishment department handles the new recruitment and transfer of employees. For creation of any new post, this department has to take approval of the state govt. and then fill that post.

This department maintains personal details of employees (e.g. employee name, date of joining, date of birth, qualification etc). The details are recorded in a prescribed format. A service record of all employees is prepared by this department, in which, all the details like leaves taken, bonus, increment etc are mentioned. The respective market offices forward the attendance details to this department. The offices also maintain records of all types of leaves taken. Each employee is given a number for identification in the service record. They forward the service record details to the accounts department since the accounts department calculates deductions in salary. They also calculate the gross salaries of employees and forward this information to EDP department for preparation of pay slip.
